Don’t forget to come see us tonight at
Makes Scents from 6-8pm. There will be poetry to hear, poetry to see, food and wine to taste, and lots of things to smell.
And if you simply must use all five senses, we also
sell good ol’ printed books to touch, and we’ll have some on hand.
Makes Scents is located at
25 South 9th Street, Columbia, MO.
Readings will begin at 7pm.
Details on Facebook:
We have an exciting update to our reading
event at Makes Scents this Friday, September 1st.
In addition to our Tribune
contest winner, Rebecca Pelky, we will also hear readings from not one, but both of our runners up – Ida Bettis Fogle and Mike Robertson!
That’s three poets
and refreshments! The readings will begin around 7:00 pm, but you can celebrate with us as early as 6:00 — we can’t wait either!
Makes Scents will be open until 8, so you’ll have plenty of time to take advantage of the special promotions they’ve planned for the event.
Bring your friends and celebrate the amazing writing talent we have here in Columbia!
We’re so grateful to
Belli’s Chicago in Pilsen for hosting our project in their wonderful juicebar and market. We took advantage of the cloudy day to bring you a few photos (posted below) from this morning’s installation. Ruby Figueroa’s piece, Cancer Baby Girl, will be up for the next three weeks right on 18th and Allport.
